Yep, i own a 1987 with a 2liters turbo diesel from an AUDI, it was originally a 1.6L Turbo diesel from the Golf.

it isnt a D20 from an 83 5000TD is it? If so COOL, but where do you find parts for a D20 anymore? I had enough trying to find them for my D24 in the old Volvo 740 wagon

In fact all the parts form the SEAT engine are compliant, since vw lead the seat group.
Golf and seat parts from the junkyard do the trick.
I don't know where you are from but it is pretty easy to get that in france.
